During the two weeks I’ve been at C21 I have been told and shown about the different roles each person in the company has to play and the types of jobs they do. I’ve used new software’s such as Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. On these I designed my own brand for a new, unique chocolate product and a London Olympics 2012 poster. All of these tasks I found interesting, as I haven’t really experienced anything like it before.
Throughout my time I have learnt about: marketing, printing, account managing, designing on the computer and designing on paper. All these gave me a good understanding of the company and taught me how each product has different unique features that help it sell. I have learnt that graphic design isn’t just about being able to draw or use computers, you have to be able to fulfill the clients needs as best as possible and to make sure your product will be unique to any other company offering them a design.
Overall I have enjoyed my work experience time at C21, it’s been enjoyable and something new. It has given me a chance to see what working life is like.
